Our new training studio is set to open in Woonona in May. Until then we're using the private facilities of the Woonona Shamrocks Rugby Club for our sessions.

It is semi-private training, meaning there'll never be more than 4 people in a session. So it’s like the attention and quality of personal training but still in a fun team atmosphere.

FAQs

I'm so busy at the moment. Can I wait until things cool down?

Busy is the best time. Because if you figure it out when you’re busy, then when life gets easy, it’ll be a breeze. But if you wait to start when life isn't busy, you'll fall off as soon as it ramps back up. So it makes sense to do it now when you have our professional support. Right?

I've got so much on my plate, where do I find the energy to do this?

We absolutely get it. Between work and family and the endless list of to-dos, it's tricky to start something new. But right now, if you’re exhausted and spread thin, the Happy Body Blueprint will increase your capacity to do things. That’s why people start exercising and eating right, because their family situation isn’t going to change anytime soon. We need to make this work with the schedule you’ve got, not the one you’d like. Doing this one thing, will make you better at all those other things.

It's expensive, can I split up the payment?

Most gyms focus on fitness. They give you workouts but often lack guidance on nutrition. Nor do they give you the accountability you need. Meal services like Weight Watchers emphasise nutrition and accountability, which may help with weight loss initially. But without resistance training, you can lose muscle and regain the weight. Plus lifestyle factors like sleep and non-exercise activity are critical for our fitness and fat loss goals, which are largely neglected in other programs.

I have an existing injury, can I do this program?

Before each session, you'll check in with us about any pains or issues you're having so we can adjust the training for you. We'd rather manage your injury now so you're not sitting on he sideline later.

Teaching proper movement function with good form and technique is the priority of our training. Many injuries come from improper movement function. Across a week of training you'll cover all of the body's main movement patterns in different ways to ensure we correct muscle weaknesses and imbalances. Often, injuries happen from a weak muscle not being able to support a joint which causes strain. So our training will help stabilise the joint and reduce pain.

We'll also work alongside doctors, physios and other medical professionals to help you manage any concerns.

If I do strength training, will it make me look bulky?

Strength gives us quality of life—particularly as we age. Building some muscle is a likely (and positive) side effect. But we're not talking about growing Thor shoulders. We're talking about building healthy muscle that improves nearly every part of our lives. But if you find your body is changing in a way you don't like, we can always chat and make changes.
